I visited Ron in line with the reviews that are positive here, even though he and the connect are nice people, I am unable to recommend them according to my experience. I'd two watches to correct - an Ebel along with a vintage pocket watch. I had been told it might be per week just to obtain an estimate. This appeared just like a very long time only for a quote, but fine. I anxiously waited on the week and made the decision to and sign in - I had been already annoyed that they not known as me. The pocket watch, I had been told, was too old - the part which was needed was no more around. The Ebel could simply be fixed through the manufacturer and will have to be sent, that they could do (Ebel would dominate 8 days to correct). Once they explained it might be $45 to transmit it, I made the decision against it, and merely acquired timepieces.
This is when Ron really lost points. I required both watches to some place known as Precision Watch Repair, right nearby, which in fact had good rankings here on Yelp. I met with Eric, who explained first he certainly could fix the vintage one, and that he could repair the Ebel without delivering it - all for any good cost. The Ebel was fixed per day. I went from hopeless to happy inside a length of fifteen minutes. Additionally, Eric known as me On That Day using the estimate, and accompanied the following day.
So Ron Gordon manages to lose when it comes to creativeness, and merely overall slowness.which appears suitable for overview of a wrist watch repair center.
Not quite what you'd call a scathing review—he got better service elsewhere. He's hardly the only person, as you will find other poor reviews from the shop, fulfilling Yelp's reason for aggregating reviews of places, bad or good. This is exactly why you want to Yelp. But Gordon thinks this really is need to file a defamation suit. Is that this only a smokescreen to draw attention away from all of us from how crappy his shop is (will it smell bad inside, too?) and just how terrible he's at supplying a wrist watch repair shop. Yelp certainly recommends individuals who, for example, run bad watch repair centers, to avert this kind of threat:
Nobody loves to get an adverse review, and it is a whole lot worse if you feel it violates your legal privileges. However a good lawyer will be honest: defamation suits are infamously costly and hard to win. Worse, they're very public. We are able to indicate numerous good examples of ill-advised legal cases that hurt the company way over it ever assisted.
